since our cars are small, i recommend u just get some 10" subs, since theyre smaller, they tend to have better frequency response and are less likely to lag when reproducing bass; from my experience, Rockford Fosgate, Directed, Orion (HCCA series), Alpine, JL, and Kicker had superior amps compared to other brands like Sony, etc (what a joke of amps)... and as of me sticking with Image Dynamics, its cus after experiencing how all the other brands are (i'd say JL and Alpine are the higher quality of all the mainstream/well-known brands), it was just AMAZING how LOW those IDMAX subs can go frequency wise, for the first time ever i didnt feel like my eardrums were about to blow up along with the car's windows and i could hear the melody in the bass as well so basically my recommendation is to go with two 10" Image Dynamics IDQ or IDMAX series subs and ull be all set, and as for the amp, perhaps an Alpine or JL amp would do some justice man, theyre really efficient.
